Submitting Deviations: At the moment, work only needs to be approved by 1 (one) moderator; this will likely change as the club grows. Please, don’t submit any more than three submissions per week.

What fashions are acceptable? All historical fashions before 1960 are acceptable as submissions; this means that western as well as world fashions are allowed in the gallery. Keep in mind, though, that LMH's chief focus is western fashion. In the past, we opened up the group to other fashions, but it still ended up being mostly about western fashions, so we decided that we might as well limit the group to those styles. However, we're still open to featuring other styles in the "World Fashions" section of the gallery, but any film/book reviews and other blogs that LMH features will be related to western fashions.

Sexual Content & Gore: Please, do not submit work with sexual content or gore. Keep it tame. Holding hands, hugging, and kissing are one thing, but anything beyond that is crossing the line; we don’t need to see pictures of people with their hands down someone’s breeches/up someone’s petticoat… or worse. The same thing goes for violence; keep it tame. No blood & guts, please.

Media: We’re open to all types of art—drawings (traditional/digital), paintings, textiles, photography, even writing. If you want to submit fashion articles to the club, then that’s great; just make sure you cite your sources.

Historical Accuracy: We're a club for historical fashion, but that doesn't mean that we don't appreciate historically inspired costumes. However, we don't believe in mixing historically inspired outfits with those that are historically accurate, so any thing we consider "historically inspired" will be moved to the appropriate group gallery. If you have any questions about historical accuracy or need help with anything, then don’t hesitate to ask us.

Advertising: Help us spread word about the club by displaying our icon somewhere in your journal.

Requests: If there’s something you want to see, don’t be afraid to ask. We’re always looking for ways to improve the club.

Etiquette: We’re a community; respect the moderators and other members! Also, respect our sister club, History Fashion Lovers.

Please note that if we feel the work submitted violates any of these rules, we will not upload it to the gallery.
